Good genes, great hair and designer clothing do not make a beautiful person. Beauty is a combination of positive attitude, inner grace and self-respect. While many people spend a lot of time and money on achieving beauty, it isn’t necessary. Some common sense tips can work just as well.
Make healthy choices
In my opinion, a healthy lifestyle should top everyone’s list of beauty tips. Without good health, beauty is hard to achieve and even harder to maintain. Eat well, sleep well, manage your weight, exercise daily and minimize your stress.
Pamper your skin
Healthy skin is also essential. Keep your skin well-cleansed and well-moisturized. Avoid heavy foundations and use your makeup to highlight your attributes, not to detract from them.
Protect your teeth
There is nothing more attractive than a bright smile showing gorgeous white teeth. Brush well after each meal, floss regularly and maintain routine dental checkups. Avoid foods and beverages that prematurely stain your teeth. If you smoke, quit!
Groom hair and nails
Keep your hair clean, healthy and shiny. Avoid overusing hairsprays and dyes. To avoid those dreaded bad hair days, find an easy-to-manage hairstyle that works in all weather, even humidity. Also groom your finger and toe nails. On occasion, let them go au naturel so they can breathe!

Establish a wardrobe
Clothing should fit well and enhance your appearance. If working with a limited budget, you can still look fabulous. Establish a wardrobe to cover the essentials – work attire, casual wear and evening wear. A few basic outfits can stretch into several by mixing tops and bottoms and adding some eye-catching accessories.
Beauty is more than skin deep. It is a complete package of good health, positive attitude and self-respect. Take good care of yourself and you will look beautiful every day!
