As summer approaches, every girl and woman wants to freshen up her look to suit the new weather and new fashion trends. The hotter it gets, the less hair you’re going to want to have! Especially with trips to the beach and the pool becoming more frequent, no one wants to get overheated by their long locks. Luckily, in recent years, short hairstyles have been very popular and there is a whole variety of styles that you can achieve with the help of a good product or two and a stylist.

One of the freshest looks in the past few years has been a short, chin-length bob with choppy layers. This is a very versatile hair style that looks great on women of all ages. It’s easy to dry after swimming, it keeps you cool and sassy when out and about in the warm weather, and it can be spotted on lots of your favorite celebrities.

It can be extremely liberating to cut off several inches of your hair. I cut off most of my hair last summer and couldn’t believe how confident I felt. Short hair styles are generally easier to maintain than long hair and can highlight your shoulders and neck, and really bring attention to your face. Some people think that short hair can even make you look thinner, as they bring the eye up to your face and head and make you seem taller, as opposed to long hair.

Another style that is very cute and popular right now is having a standard bob and long bangs, which is reminiscent of the roaring twenties. No matter how modern you are, a little vintage glam can really brighten up your look and make you appear even more original and fashion-forward than you already are! No matter how you switch it up this summer, a short hairstyle will always leave you free to frolic in the sun without having to worry about the pesky post-swim aftercare that most girls dread. There are so many other things you can do this summer besides worry about your hair!
