I know that the summer can wreck havoc on all types of hair. But by following several proven hair care tips, I can assure you that you can still have beautiful hair during the summer.

1. Moisturizing Shampoos

In my opinion, moisturizing shampoos are one of the best steps you can take to prevent dryness and moisture loss caused by the sun’s burning rays. I know that you need to use these moisturizing shampoos on a daily basis for best results as the first step.

2. More Conditioner Use

I know that it’s equally important to make sure to use much more conditioner after washing your hair because that helps add additional body, smoothness and natural softness that the hot sun naturally takes away. Select a conditioner you like the best and make this your second step for the best overall summer hair care.

3. Don’t Blow Dry

In my opinion, you should never even think of blow drying your hair during the summer because your hair already receives and absorbs enough heat outside. I’m confident this is a crucial step to take in your overall summer hair care process. The last thing your hair needs is more heat during this time of the year.

4. Avoid Heavy Care Products

I know that in the summer you need to stay away from using to many hair gels, creams and lotions. It’s also best to avoid doing a lot of coloring to your hair because that will make the texture even rougher and dryer in the hot summer months. In my opinion, it’s extremely important to never add these types of products if you’re going to be out in the sun a lot. I know that this is one definite step that you simply can’t forget to do or else your hair will suffer because of it.
